• This fight was originally scheduled to come after Kirby vs Majin Buu. But due to complications with the animator on Kirby vs Majin Buu, they moved it to after this one.
• Deadpool mentions Donatello, Leonardo and Michaelangelo while fighting Deathstroke.
• Captain America is mentioned due to having similar superhuman abilities to Deathstroke including 'SEEING faster'.
• Deadpool mentions Spiderman by accident at the end of his episode, as a nod to how he has occasionally been mistaken for him in the comics. One of the nicknames mentioned during his rundown is "Ninja Spider-Man."
• Deadpool is the only additional host this show has yet to have, and even then it's mainly Deadpool breaking the 4th wall.
• Deadpool is the first character whose ability to access Hammerspace is legitimately recognized. Kirby also has a similar trait, but only to the things he eats.
• Deadpool is one of the few combatants that could be considered legitimately immortal as his immortality appears to have no limits or exploitable weaknesses, at least none mentioned by the hosts. Characters like Spawn and Superman do have weaknesses and can die from them while spiritual characters like M Bison and Raiden can have their bodies destroyed normally despite their spirit surviving without said body.
• Deathstroke makes use of Taskmaster's Aegis Counter Hyper Combo from Marvel vs. Capcom 3 during the fight. Similarly, many of Deadpool's attacks and quotes are taken from the game as well. Another shout-out comes from the intro, where Deadpool and Deathstroke shoot each other with their SMGs: the bullets are revealed to ricochet off each other, just like the shoot-out between Deadpool and Dante from the first opening movie. Deadpool would also like to note that he isn't "Garbage Tier".
  • Many fans consider Deathstroke to have been inspired by Taskmaster, which also supports their similarities.
• A poster of 'Metal Gear Ben' is shown on the side of the bus stop where the bounties are shown.
• As Ben mentioned in his analysis, Deadpool did get hit by a flaming truck during the match which is why it was so 'oddly specific'.
• As Deadpool prepares to kill Deathstroke with his healing factor-nullifying carbonadium sword, Swordland (starting at 2:15), a track from Sword Art Online, plays.
• Deadpool's creaters mentioned that Deadpool is the "third cousin on his mother's sister's uncle's cousin's side to Slade." Another inspiration was Spiderman, specifically the mask to make it easier to draw him and his healing factor was inspired by Wolverine, even before Deadpool's backstory and relationship to The Weapons X Program was created.
• In an official crossover between Deathstroke and Deadpool: Deathstroke stabbed, shot and attempted to kill Deadpool in multiple ways. However Deathstroke yells 'WHY WON'T YOU DIE!?' as Deadpool was unharmed by the comically massive assault. Deadpool's reply was 'Why do you hate yourself so much?', a nod to how Deadpool is a parody of Deathstroke. This scenario is basically what occurred in this match. Even if Deathstroke is depicted with vastly superior skill, he had no way to kill Deadpool.
