- Executive Meddling: Merho encountered too much executive meddling during the filming of Misstoestanden, a live action adaptation of his characters which he felt was a disgrace to his series. The film quickly flopped and disappeared into obscurity. Merho got his revenge by making two stories mercilessly satirizing executive meddling: Misstoestanden and De Simstones.
