Trivia / David Janssen

Go To

  • He Also Did: Janssen co-wrote the theme for one of his TV movies, A Sensitive, Passionate Man, with singer/songwriter Carol Connors. Their relationship evolved from professional to romantic, but never got very far, as David was unable to get out of his marriage to wife Dani.
  • Romance on the Set: Two instances:
    • During the filming of the 1969 comedy Where It's At, Janssen fell in love with his much-younger female co-star Rosemary Forsyth. The trouble was, David was still very much married to his first wife, Ellie. He moved in with Rosemary despite the fact that his marriage had not yet been dissolved. The press had a field day with this, Forsyth was unfairly labeled a homewrecker, and her rising career suffered as a result.
    • As mentioned above, Janssen fell in love with singer/songwriter Carol Connors during work on the 1977 TV-movie A Sensitive, Passionate Man. This happened during his second marriage to the former Dani Greco.
