• Fake Nationality: Sam Riley is neither American nor Austrian: he's English.
• Not Even Bothering with the Accent: Not apparent to non-Austrian viewers of the film, but the village is set in Tyrol, which has a very specific accent. Only the actor who plays Lukas' father has it. It's the American accent equivalent of having Minnesotans cast in a movie set in Georgia.
