• Author's Saving Throw: The scene of Matt and Frank on the roof is very similar to Garth Ennis's story, except for the ending; in the comic Daredevil does try to shoot Frank, but the Punisher had removed the firing pin. Many Daredevil fans were outraged that the comic implied Matt's morals were worthless and that he would so easily throw them away. The show takes a different direction: the gun is loaded and able to fire, but Daredevil Takes a Third Option, freeing himself by shooting his bindings, which many felt better shows both Matt's integrity and Frank's suicidal level of self-destructiveness than what happened in the comic.
