• Fake Nationality: The Spanish Salvador Dalí is played by six French actors, none of which is of Spanish descent.
• Half-Remembered Homage: Quentin Dupieux wasn't very interested in researching Dalí's art. Rather, the film is about Dalí's media persona, so the only stuff Dupieux added in the film about Dalí's art is from his own memories/perception of it.
