- Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": Though the game had a very limited release outside of Japan, more people know Jin and Devilotte from the first Marvel vs. Capcom (although Devilotte previously appeared in Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo).
- Also, the mechs featured in the game originally came from an earlier Capcom beat-em-up called Powered Gear: Strategive Armored Variant. Although it was released as Armored Warriors in North America, it is nonetheless even less known than Cyberbots outside of Japan.
- No Export for You: The Polished Port version for the Sega Saturn remains Japan-only, the severely RAM-limited Porting Disaster version for the PlayStation version was this until 2011 on PlayStation 3 as a PS One Classic. Averted for the arcade release which was the only version to get a US release back in the 90s, and then later re-released for the Capcom Arcade Stadium.
- The Other Darrin: Tōru Furuya voices Jin in this game, Yuji Ueda replaces him in Tech Romancer and Capcom VS games.
