- Recycled Script: R.L. Stine had done this kind of story twice before. First was the More Tales to You Goosebumps short story The Cat's Tale and the second was the Fear Street book Cat. Both involves evil cats stalking the protagonist and the former has a scratch from the cat turning them into a cat person.
