Trivia / Crusader Rabbit

Go To

  • Cross-Dressing Voices: Crusader Rabbit was voiced by Lucille Bliss (a.k.a. Smurfette and Anastasia Tremaine) in the original 1950-51 series, then by Ge Ge Pearson in the second series of 1956.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Rhino Home Video released two volumes of episodes on VHS in the mid-80's but never completed the set, as 20th Century Fox bought the then-series' rights-holder Metromedia around that time and sent a cease-and-desist order to Rhino. Thus, the episodes that haven't been released on VHS are nigh-impossible to look for (and said VHSes are out-of-print and rare). Disney, who now owns the cartoon along with the rest of Fox's library, doesn't appear to have any interest in reviving the Crusader Rabbit character or any DVD release of the cartoon.
  • No Budget: The very Limited Animation was required due to the low budget Ward and Anderson had to work with.
