  • Fake Brit:
    • Irishman Glenn Quinn put on an English accent as Cedric.
    • Eleonore is played by Ione Skye, who was born in Britain, but grew up in America and had to fake the accent.
  • International Coproduction: from the ITV London weekday station, Thames Television (ironically the series aired on Saturdays on its first UK TV run!) and the USA's Reeves Entertainment - which was actually part of Thames Television at the time. (Reeves was formerly Alan Landsburg Productions)
  • Prop Recycling: We can see plenty of props from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves..
  • Recycled Set: The village set would later be used in Red Dwarf, in the episode "Emohawk: Polymorph II".
  • Screwed by the Network: The series had the misfortune of airing during the 1992 presidential campaign, and ABC allowed Ross Perot to buy up air time for his campaign, which just happened to fall into the series' timeslot. Despite strong initial ratings, the show was unable to recover from this disruption of its schedule, and combined with its high production costs to kill it seven episodes into its run.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • The series was planned to be set specifically in 1350, during the reign of Edward III. But since there was no intent for it to be 100% historically accurate, they opted for a generic medieval period.
    • Thirteen episodes were produced but only seven aired.
