Trivia / Contraband (1980)

• Creator Cameo: Lucio Fulci plays one of the old school gangsters in the film's climax.
• Playing Against Type: It's Lucio Fulci, best known for gory horror movies, first and only foray into poliziotteschi. Still plenty of Gorn though.
• Troubled Production: The film ran out of money halfway through shooting, so they had to pick up and move from Rome to Naples, and hired actual smugglers to use their boats to avoid paying stuntmen. At some point, the actual mob got involved.
