• Blooper: Joel's "I claim this name in the land of master magician Doug Henning" in The Alien Factor, though no one really notices.
• Corpsing:
  • In East Meets Watts, Frank completely loses his cool after Trace tells a fart joke, and Mary Jo just barely catches herself.
  • Frank in general is most prone to this, by bursting out laughing at other riffers' lines or just barely making it through some of his own, with Mary Jo coming in second.
• Dueling Shows: With RiffTrax, ostensibly. Mike Nelson made a tentative suggestion that they start up a (supposed) formal rivalry, but Joel Hodgson felt it wouldn't be sustainable. Nevertheless, several live appearances featuring members of both groups have at least played, not too seriously, with the trope.
