• Hypothetical Casting: The author's notes in Cinderjuice mention that the human form of BJ looks a lot like young James Spader.
• Inspired by…: According to the author, Prince Vince himself (or at least the Tumblr account claiming to be his) was the driving force behind the inclusion of Meteor Shower. "Not Making This Up" Disclaimer: She insists, in her author's notes, that she can tell the difference between fantasy and reality. The actual Tumblr exchange is seen here.
• Series Hiatus: The series derailed partway through Bug Princess and the Seven Months, partly because of the author's other projects and partly because Real Life Writes the Plot around here. After a dearth of updates for a little over three years, the hiatus finally broke in August 2021.
