• In Memoriam:
  • Three months after his death, TNA held a tag team tournament called the Chris Candido Memorial Tag Team Tournament where each team consist of one veteran and one rookie as a nod to him managing The Naturals at the time of his death.
  • On December 6, 2008, IWA Mid-South held a tag team tournament called the Candido Cup 2008.
• Real Life Writes the Plot: As Wrestlecrap mentions, people did watch Smoky Mountain Wrestling, so when the WWF tried to push Candido and Tammy Lynn Sytch, who were responsible for killing a cat in that promotion, as baby faces, the crowds didn't buy it.
• Real Song Theme Tune:
  • The Suicide Blondes used INXS's "Suicide Blonde," of course, and Candido also used it in SMW.
    • He later used Extreme's "Get the Funk Out" in SMW
  • During his second run in ECW, he used AC/DC's "Back in Black"
• Recycled Script: The angle with Candido "killing" Boo Bradley (Balls Mahoney)'s cat Boots in late 1994 SMW was recycled from when Earthquake had done the same thing to Jake "The Snake" Roberts's pet snake Damien in 1991 WWE.
