  • Defictionalization: The storyline for this episode saw Jeopardy! taping in Boston, marking the first time the show had ever taped outside of Los Angeles. However, the first time that the show would actually go on the road for real wouldn't be for another seven years. In 1997, Jeopardy! taped two weeks worth of shows from the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.: the semifinals and finals of the 1997 Teen Tournament, and the inaugural edition of Power Players Week, featuring celebrities from the worlds of politics and journalism. Earlier in 1997, Alex Trebek and much of the show's crew ventured to Stockholm to tape the International Jeopardy! Tournament on the set of the Swedish edition of the show. The following year, 1998, the show went to Boston for real, to tape a special edition of the Teen Tournament, which featured 12 noteworthy contestants from past editions of it.
