• Completely Different Title:
  • French: "Halloween chez les Halliwell" (Halloween at the Halliwells')
  • WB promoted the episode under an alternative title "A Charmed Halloween".
• Costume Backlash: Holly Marie Combs hated the pink Glinda costume, as it overheated her, and she thought it looked horrible.
• The Other Darrin: Both Grimlocks are portrayed by new actors, but are stated to be the same ones from season 1.
• Wag the Director: Aaron Spelling initially didn't want holiday episodes so that viewers could tune in and suspend disbelief that episodes were happening any time. This one only came about because the actors kept badgering him that they were a show about witches, so they had to have a Halloween Episode.
• What Could Have Been: Supposedly, this episode was originally to feature Melinda Warren in Eva's role, but Tyler Layton's schedule meant she couldn't make it, so they rewrote it to centre around her birth.
• You Look Familiar: Michael Bailey Smith, who portrays one of the Grimlocks, appeared as Belthazor in the previous episode.

• Leo and Darryl meet for the first time.
• The girls dress up for Halloween for the first time in the series. Prue dresses up as a witch of nature, Piper as Glinda from the Wizard of Oz and Phoebe as Elvira.
• The episode shows Phoebe's true love's name begins with a 'C'. At this point it would be natural to believe her true love would be Cole. Later in the series, Phoebe marries a cupid named Coop.
• Leo vanquishes a Grimlock despite Whitelighters normally being barred from killing at all. This may have been an exception as himself, Darryl and the neighbourhood children were in danger and the Charmed Ones were not there.
