Keep Circulating the Tapes: Reruns of the NBC version aired on CBN and USA, and on GSN. GSN got up to episode 75, skipping 13 of them along the way. A Sony sheet of shows available for GSN to rerun in 2007 listed 89 episodes, suggesting that 26 may be missing. The 26 in question were shown on CBN and USA.
GSN played a handful of USA episodes before yanking the series. Bonus Round Canada reportedly tried to get all 650 episodes of this version, and all 390 episodes of the 1985-1988 USA Network run of Jackpot. However, due to high licensing fees, it never happened.
For unknown reasons, GSN stopped airing the last five episodes of Season 1 of the 2006 version by the early 2010's. They do not appear to circulate.
Screwed by the Network: NBC president and CEO Fred Silverman was swift to can the original series after six months in favor of The David Letterman Show (High Rollers and The Hollywood Squares also fell victim to Silverman's purge). A year later, Silverman was given the pink slip due to repeated programming failures (including Letterman) and was replaced by MTM Enterprises co-founder and president Grant Tinker.
