Trivia / Castle Crashers

  • Acting for Two:
    • Kira Buckland voices all princesses and Medusa.
    • Will Stamper voices both the Industrial Prince and the Frost King.
  • Development Gag: According to Tom Fulp, the drawings of the Orange Princess with a knife in her back in the Painter's boss room are a nod to a scrapped idea from the Wizard Castle Takeoff sequence as noted below.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: With the All You Can Quaff minigame being removed in the remastered versions of the game (including Steam), there is no way to play it outside of the original Xbox 360 version of the game.
  • What Could Have Been: Through Word of God, there have been several things that didn't make it to the final game.
    • A very early version of the game that was shown at Comic Con 2005 showed early versions of the UI, the knights, what appears to be Thieves' Forest, and some enemies. All of them look drastically different from how they appear in the final game. It also had the Working Title of Ye Olde Side-Scroller at one point in development.
    • The Painter Boss originally had a more mummy-like design, which ended up being scrapped and became the Anachronism Stew design he's known for.
    • There were supposed to be playable versions of the Troll enemy and even the Princesses, but production never started on them.
    • According to Tom Fulp, during the Wizard Castle Takeoff, a dead Orange Princess would have dropped to the floor from the rising castle with a knife in her back, which would have made the player(s)' drill jump to chase after the castle revenge-driven. This would ultimately be subverted by upon reaching the room where the Painter is fought. The dead Orange Princess would be seen there once again, but it would poof away and turn out to be one of the Painter's drawings. This was scrapped because Fulp said it'd be too confusing.
