• Crossdressing Voices: Ayumu Murase voices Maki Hokari which makes it very interesting when it's revealed that Maki is a transwoman and this also keeps her true identity hidden.
• Dueling Shows:
  • With the third season of Psycho-Pass, another Production I.G. detective show released on Fall 2019.
  • Also with Special 7: Special Crime Investigation Unit, a detective show done by ANIMA&CO.
  • Since January 2020, there's one with ID: Invaded.
• Playing Against Type:
  • Tatsumaru Tachibana as yakuza wakashu turned PI Toratarō Kobayashi for his gangster attitude and voice. It's more evident when you listen to the show's webradio episodes and see that Tachibana's gangster voice is not his real voice in the first place. In fact, Tachibana is a stage actor known for playing Bishōnen roles.
  • Both Katsuyuki Konishi and Ian Sinclair are known for playing Hot-Blooded characters which is the opposite when playing Sherlock Holmes.
  • Likewise, Yuichi Nakamura and Josh Grelle as John Watson. While both actors have sometimes played secondary protagonists who are action heroes, Watson gets fooled around by everyone in the eastern side of Shinjuku.
