- Breakthrough Hit: Minecraft - Volume Alpha, created for Minecraft, is what led to C418 eventually gaining popularity. Though this would only be regarding his Minecraft work, and not his actual general work, which would include 2018's Excursions.
- Creator Backlash:
- The 2008 album The whatever directors cut, an experiment to see how fast he could make an album. You can imagine how that went. C418 removed it in 2012, later uploading the songs from it freely on his subreddit.
- The 2011 song "Inappropriate Transexuality Deluxe" had its title changed to "Inappropriate BADWORD Deluxe" at some point between its release and 2018note .
- Development Gag: "Floating Trees" on Minecraft - Volume Beta is named after the phenomenon of trees defying gravity upon chopping them down for resources in Minecraft.
- In Memoriam: "Taswell" on Minecraft - Volume Beta was created in honor of Ryan Davis from Giant Bomb, who died in 2013. The title is based on his nickname, which is the aforementioned.
- Screwed by the Lawyers: The reason C418 hasn't been able to release his third Minecraft soundtrack is because Microsoft won't allow it, but they also aren't willing to let him publish it independently either.
