Deleted Scene: A deleted scene provides the motive for Matha's murder of Rose: she has a malignant brain tumor that can cause blackouts and strange behavior. This is why she snapped with such little provocation. It also explains her headache before the murder and the bright lights that occasionally engulf her head.
