Corpsing: Bernard Sumner does this at various points in "Every Little Counts", most prominently during the line "I think you are a pig/you should be in a zoo," the end result of the improvisational nature of the lyrics.
Creator Backlash: While by no means loathing it, Stephen Morris went on to say that the Distinct Single Album approach to the record didn't work as well as the band had hoped, describing the recording atmosphere and final product as "schizophrenic."
Creator's Favorite Episode: Whatever his problems with the album's approach, drummer Stephen Morris singled out "All Day Long" in the same interview as his idea of a "definitive" New Order song.
Throw It In!: The lyrics to "Every Little Counts" were written through an improvisational round-robin session between the band members, hence the presence of some stranger line choices such as "I think you are a pig/you should be in a zoo."
