  • Monetochka's music video for "90", about "the wild 90's", is a Whole-Plot Reference to Brother.
  • Within Lapenko: The Mafiya boss speaks in weird made-up sayings, like Krugly. His catchphrase of "hiya, father" is also a riff on one of the movie's most famous quotes.
  • Grand Theft Auto IV shares the film's plot: a war vet comes back to his small town to zero career prospects and then moves back to a bigger city to work for his brother, who is then revealed to be a criminal.
