• Actor Allusion:
  • BaldDumboRat, the voice of Ditzy Doo/Derpy Hooves in Doctor Whooves and Assistant and the creator of Discorded Whooves, appears in the episode where the cast is reacting towards Derpy's censoring in the actual show.
  • Mocked when Nowacking (the voice of Vinyl Scratch in Epic Wub Time: Musicians of Ponyville) sees DJ Pon-3's car turning into a "Wub machine on wheels that Vinyl use to save the Mane Six from a villain with..."
    Nowacking: What? this isn't similar to anything else that I know of...
• Enforced Method Acting: According to Word of God, for the Cupcakes episode, neither Race nor Saberspark had watched it before, so their reactions were genuine.
• Follow the Leader: The style of reaction seen in the series has a few imitators, notably with some "local chapters" of MLP fans, such as the "Japonies" (Japanese Bronies), "Tuga Bronies" (Portuguese) or Australian Bronies. They are just as often parodied, notably by "Brownies React" [sic], or the "Analyst Bronies React".
