Trivia / Bread Barbershop

  • Actor-Shared Background: Sort of. Choco's dark batter skin and afro-shaped frosting "hair" make her look like a black woman. In the English version, she's voiced by a black woman, Elinor Vanderburg.
  • Completely Different Title: The show is called To Barmpériko tou Kýriou Psomákia (Το Μπαρμπέρικο του Κύριου Ψωμάκια) in Greek, meaning "The Barbershop of Mr. Psomakia". "Psomakia" is a plural derivative of the Greek word for "bread," psomaki.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices: In the English version, male Wilk is voiced by female Laurie Hymes.
  • The Merch: There are known to be plastic figurines of the characters as well as a playset of Bread Barbershop and plush toys of the main characters.
  • Same Content, Different Rating: In some Asian countries, including its native South Korea, the show has a 7+ rating, but in the United States it's rated TV-Y, which implies it's appropriate for preschoolers. Didn't stop certain not-appropriate-for-preschoolers jokes and scenes from slipping through, such as an attempted exorcism on Wilk.
