Trivia / Bowser's Koopalings

Go To

  • Actor-Shared Background: Fawful is from the Bohnenkraut Kingdom, which aside from taking heavy inspiration from the BeanBean Kingdom is also a Fictional Counterpart to Germany and France. His voice actor, YoshiEgg95, is German.
  • Creator Backlash: FreezeFlame22 considers "Larry's Validation" as the worst episodes of Bowser's Koopalings due to being very forgettable by fans.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices:
  • The Original Darrin: Big Bob-omb was voiced by FreezeFlame22 in "Work Experience", but he was recast to InstaButNot starting with "The Heist". After Insta left the team in 2023, Freeze would reprise his role from "Return to the Parallel Universe" onward.
  • The Other Darrin:
    • Lauren was initially voiced by AverageToaster19 in seasons 4, 5 and the first half of season 6, but her voice actress was changed to BluePastels for the latter half of Season 6 onwards.
    • Clawgrip was originally voiced by AzUrArInG, but after he left the team in 2020, his voice actor became InstaButNot. InstaButNot was then replaced by Quantum in 2023 following his resignation as a voice actor.
    • Camilla's brother Kalin was voiced by Popplio Power for his first two appearances, but on the third one his voice actor was changed to Mononerd. Similarly, Mononerd was cast as the voice of Shawn, another one of Camilla's brothers, after Insta's resignation.
  • Screwed by the Network:
    • The reason the title was changed from Bowser's Children to Bowser's Koopalings is due to the fact that the series wouldn't show up in the YouTube algorithm due to having the word "children" in the title, thus making it harder for people to discover the series and the channel.
    • The Season 4 episode "The Meanie" was originally named "The Bully", but was hit with demonetization by YouTube due to the use of the word "bully" in the title. However, FreezeFlame22 kept the original title in the thumbnail, albeit with the word "Bully" crossed out and "Meanie" crudely written next to it.
    • Similarly to "The Meanie". The Season 5 episode "Roy's Road Rampage" was originally titled "The Fat & Furious" (as a reference to the The Fast and the Furious franchise), but had to be changed to the current title after the video was hit with demonetization due to the use of the word "fat" in the title.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Leon, the antagonist of the "Summer of '19" duology in Carl, was meant to be Lauren's brother, as she mentions in "The Slumber Party" that her brother got hit in the face with a barstool the last time he went to Ocean Side, which is what Carl had done to Leon after he attempted to force a break-up between him and Grace. However, FreezeFlame22 felt that it would be a waste to have Lauren's brother be a character from another series because otherwise they would have little to no opportunities to interact, and thus created Eddie to serve as Lauren's brother.
    • The original antagonist of "Return of the Koopa King" was none other than Mario. Yes, that Mario. The original story consisted in Mario attempting to marry Peach in order to become the king of her kingdom, The Mushroom Kingdom, while Bowser also fought for her love. However, Freeze thought that Mario wasn't physically imposing enough to be the main villain when compared to a character like Bowser, and thus he was replaced with Tyson, Bowser's villianous second cousin.
