• Throw It In!: During the sword fight scene, at one point the clashing blades generated minor Sword Sparks. Those were not intended as a special effect nor added in editing, it just happened on its own and the shot was later used in the final version.
• Playing Against Type: Will Sasso, primarily known for comedies, plays The Dragon.
• Production Posse: Quinton "Rampage" Jackson starred in Carnahan's previous film The A-Team.
