- Meme Acknowledgment: The Comic Relief trailer crossover with Line of Duty showed Julia as not being dead and asking Budd after sneaking into the Jaguar sedan if there's going to be a second season. Budd snarks that she's killed off.
- Playing Against Type: Vincent Franklin, frequently known for ineffectual comedy characters, playing the Machiavellian Mike Travis.
- Teasing Creator: Jed did suggest that he debated on whether he should show the contents of the briefcase that Budd was shown to outside of the auditorium in the third episode. He decided not to do it.
- What Could Have Been: Jed Mercurio (via Twitter) has provided several details on the production of the show.
- The first episode would have been shot at Waterloo Station, before it was changed to Euston Station. WS management mentioned that the script provided by Jed would have led to serious disruption of trains going in and out of Waterloo.
- The Pascoe House sniper incident was done via CG when Budd was taking a photo of the building instead of putting a stuntman on the roof due to public security concerns.
