Trivia / Blue Archive

  • No Export for You: The global version of Blue Archive isn't available to play in these countries for their own reasons: Japan (since the Japanese version is already available and operated by Yostar Games), China (due to the government's strict regulation of foreign games and the need for it to be published separately in order to comply), Vietnam (which requires any game company to set up a local branch at Vietnam before publishing their games and tax them), and the Netherlands, Belgium and Slovakia (due to these three countries' anti-gambling laws having particular provisions on games with gacha mechanics).
  • What Could Have Been:
    • The game's opening features two Gehenna students named Kirara and Erika suggesting they were going to be in the game in the beginning but both girls have yet to appear in the current game (although Erika was playable in the beta version of the game, and art for her and Kirara did exist in the beta client). Erika and Kirara would later make their debut as NPCs, with their designs brought up to date from the beta.
    • A Virtual Youtuber named Irua was announced, had a small in-game introduction event, one video, and then was terminated that same day after major fan backlash over various aspects of the character (the specific person they hired, the lack of a halo despite presumably being an in-universe character, belief that producing a VTuber would eat into game production, etc.). The Panopticon Institution she was a part of will likely remain a mystery for the future.
