  • Executive Meddling: The game was originally going to have Rumble Pak support, but game designer Martin Wakeley vetoed it due to how terrible the thing looked at the time (it was still in its developmental stages). He regretted it years later when rumble became the industry standard and admitted that he was wrong.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Several vehicles didn't make the cut due to not serving the purpose of knocking down buildings (the main goal of the game), not being cool enough, or were too out there in design. Some of the cut vehicles include a scorpion mech whose cab was in the crotch, a mecha cobra, a crane that could repair broken bridges, and many others.
    • During the game's development, the Nintendo 64's Rumble Pak was revealed to developers during its prototype stage. The team liked it and wanted in the game, but game designer Martin Wakeley vetoed it and said it didn't look good nor did he see any point in having it for Blast Corps. In an interview over ten years later, Martin expressed regret for vetoing the idea after seeing how popular the Rumble Pak had gotten back then.
