• Spared by the Cut: Vila and/or Jenna were to be killed off in this episode, but after Gan's death proved a shock, the decision was made to write characters out rather than kill them off.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Terry Nation wanted the invading aliens to be the Daleks, but he was sadly overruled.
  • This was to have been a Two-Part Episode. "The Keeper" was written as filler when Terry Nation didn't deliver.
