• Fake Nationality: Marpessa Dawn, Pittsburgh-born, of African and Filipino ancestry, as the Brazilian Eurydice.
• One-Hit Wonder: Director Marcel Camus and stars Breno Mello and Marpessa Dawn. Camus had a couple successful films in France after this but never any other international hits, and ended his career as a television director. Mello acted sporadically afterwards, but utlimately turned his focus back to soccer. Dawn ended up mainly doing stage acting.
• Breno Mello and Marpessa Dawn died 42 days apart in 2008; he on 14 July and she on August 25.
