Trivia / Black Holes and Revelations

Go To

  • Black Sheep Hit: "Supermassive Black Hole" and "Starlight" are some of the most played Muse tracks on radio, but are some of the most atypical - the former being an electro-funk track, and the latter being a melodic alt-rock track. Whilst a good chunk of fans felt they'd sold out, they couldn't deny that the tracks were catchy.
  • Chart Displacement:
    • "Supermassive Black Hole" became the album's most recognized song thanks to Twilight. Although, while it reached number #6 in the Modern Rock charts (now Alternative Airplay), it never charted in the Billboard Hot 100.
    • Similarly, "Starlight" was barely able to chart in the Hot 100, being able to reach #1 in the Bubbling Under charts, which is the equivalent of reaching #101 on the former.
  • Refitted for Sequel: "Soldier's Poem" was originally written for Absolution as a heavier track, but it was turned into a mellow barbershop quartet song for this album.
