- The famous Spanish Inquisition sketch in Monty Python's Flying Circus features Cardinal Biggles, who wears a pilot's leather hood and googles with his cardinal robes.
- The naming pattern of the stories ("Biggles does something") is parodied with several fake Biggles stories referenced in other books or media. For example, Monty Python's Flying Circus has a sketch called "Biggles writes a letter" which at the end includes a commercial for the upcoming "Biggles Flies Undone" (Read aloud!)
- In the Red Dwarf episode "Marooned", Rimmer protests about the death of culture and art as Lister burns books to keep from freezing to death. He allows Biggles' Big Adventure to be sacrificed with little argument.
