• Acting for Two: The voice actor who plays Hobbins also voices several other minor characters, and there are a few times when they both exchange words.
• Dummied Out: The "Security Manual" lists a lot of "suspects" who don't appear in the game. Even the ones who do seem to play a lesser role.
• Feelies: The game comes with a security manual intended for Reich's use which provides a lot of background details on the game's characters.
• Multi-Disc Work: The DOS version has six disks, while the Amiga version has a whopping fifteen.
• Referenced by...: Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror: If Nico Collard tries to give a chocolate to a ghost, Robert Foster shows up in a tunnel.
• The Other Darrin: Played with. Joey can use different robot "shells" throughout the game, some of which change his voice tone and/or attitude towards things.
  • Adam Henderson, the voice actor of Robert Foster plays both as Gallagher and Stephen Reich.
• What Could Have Been: The game was originally titled Underworld but it was renamed due to the release of Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss.
