Canada Doubling: The series is set in Boston, but shot in Montreal. Oddly enough, a flashback in late Season 1 is set in Montreal in the '70s.
Cast Incest: Tracy Spiridakos and Jon Cor play twin brother and sister werewolves on Being Human, and got engaged in 2012.
Fake American: The show is set in Boston, but filmed in Montreal, along with being a US-Canada co-production. Some American main characters such as Sally are played by Canadians as a result (in her case, Meaghan Rath).
Overtook the Manga: The original Being Human had very short seasons thanks to British Brevity. As a cable show, the US Being Human has shorter seasons than a network primetime series, but it's still way more than six episodes. As such, what begins as a fairly straight adaptation quickly develops a lot of new material.
Jesse Rath, the actor that plays Sally's brother in the sixth episode of Season 3, is Meaghan Rath's brother in real life, though it's worth noting he's played by a completely different actor in the pilot episode.
The little boy and girl that portrayed Josh and Nora's children Aidan and Sally are Sam Huntington's children Charlie and Audrey.
What Could Have Been: According to an interview with Sam Witwer, the show could have continued into a fifth season, but it would've had heavy budget cuts, hence the decision was made to end with season 4.
Jeremy Carver, one of the executive producers and co-creators for the US version, was a writer for Supernatural during season three through season five.
