- Role Reprise: Unlike the previous Beast Wars video game, this one actually has most of the television series' cast brought back to voice their respective characters.
- What Could Have Been: Chris Tang suggested a sort of Create-A-Transformer mode that would have used the Transfer Pak to assign a random name and color to the existing models based on which Game Boy Color game was inserted into the Pak. This fell through, however.
