• Missing Episode: One of the earliest novels, The Sword and the Dagger has not be reissued (outside of a 2004 German-language translation) for unclear reasons since its 1987 publishing.
• What Could Have Been: An early novel, The Sword and the Dagger, was originally supposed to be written by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. However, they found a better deal (which may or may not have been continuing the Dragonlance series for Creator/TSR) and bowed out, after which Ardath Mayhar took over the writing duties.
