Trivia / Batman (Grant Morrison)

Go To

  • Ascended Fanon: The vague and subtle imagery of the Joker's face appearing when Batman And Robin #3's cover is turned upside down was entirely coincidental. But Grant Morrison was more than happy to take credit for the fans going wild with theories about it.
  • Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: Nightrunner and Batwing have incorrectly been called the Batmen of France and Africa; titles neither of which are given in the book.
  • Recycled Script:
    • Morrison reuses a few ideas that first showed up in their New X-Men run a few years prior. The revelation that Oberon Sexton is the Joker in disguise echoes the revelation that Xorn was Magneto in disguise, while Bruce Wayne's international corporation "Batman Incorporated" is more than a little similar to Charles Xavier's "X-Corporation".
    • The concept of the Batman of Zur-En-Arrh, a back-up personality in case of emergency, seems to be based on King Mob's psychic shields and Reynard's Memeplex from The Invisibles and the injectable personalities from The Filth.
  • What Could Have Been: Had it not been for the New 52, Cassandra Cain would have been a very prominent member of Batman Incorporated.
  • Write What You Know: There is quite a lot of Morrison projecting their own childhood and Parental Issues through the troubled relationships between Damian, Talia and Batman.
