- Dueling Works: The Love Unlimited Orchestra (L.A.) and MFSB (Philadelphia) duked it out as the respective West Coast and East Coast franchises for a band with dozens of members that blended lush orchestral arrangements with light Funk and proto-Disco rhythms. Love Unlimited Orchestra's "Love's Theme" and MFSB's "TSOP" hit #1 in America within two months of each other in early 1974.
- Promoted Fanboy: White was a huge fan of The Simpsons and eagerly accepted a role in "Whacking Day". He also recorded a new version of "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love, Babe" for the episode rather than have the producers use the existing recording.
- What Could Have Been: He was asked to provide the voice for Chef in South Park, but he turned it down due to the content going against his Christian views.
