- Development Hell: There was a second season planned as early as 2007, with scripts being written around 2012ish. However Planet Nemo's financial issues plus legal troubles with Xiliam (who currently own the rights to the series) caused production on the season to stop. There was eventually a "second season" of sorts (that was basically retooled season 1 episodes) as well as a special, but it was only released in Poland.

- In 2011, there was a short series released on Disney Junior in France called J'apprends la langue des signes avec Bali ("Bali Signing Time" in English), which was made to teach French sign language. The series was never released in any other country, likely due to the series being very hard to adapt in other languages.
- What Could Have Been: There was a movie planned at one point called Banzai Bali, but it never materialized. The plot is unknown, but it would've likely involved Bali and his friends learning about Japanese culture.
