• What Could Have Been: Short Skirts and Explosions said he did have an alternate idea for the ending. Eventually Trixie would have been introduced, and her talent for illusions meant that she alone would have been able to notice Lyra, and over the course of their relationship, Trixie would have become a better pony. Eventually Lyra would have succeeded in lifting the curse, but at the expense of forgetting all that had happened, and losing all her character development...leaving Trixie alone in the knowledge of what a caring pony she could be.
