• Dueling Games: With World War Z (2019), a similar zombie-themed co-op shooter. An update DLC for WWZ was released in September 2021, around the same time frame as Back 4 Blood's release — specifically, a mode that allows you to play in first person, making the game even more like Left 4 Dead.
• Pre-Order Bonus: Pre-ordering the game got you a Fort Hope Elite weapon skins pack, which let you use a green, brown, and black camo for four weapons.
• What Could Have Been: After the much maligned release and further issues for the first six months of post-release support, the game started to finally improve and distancing itself, if slowly, from Left 4 Dead, ironing out its kinks, adding new gameplay elements and campaign choices. However, before any of this it could truly affect the gameplay in a broader sense, further support was simply discontinued.
