Fake Nationality: Croatian actor Mišel Matičević plays "the Armenian" Edgar Kasabian, and Lithuanian actress Severija Janušauskaitė plays the Russian socialite Svetlana Sorokina.
No Export for You: Netflix, which licenses the show in the US, ultimately did not release Season 4 there and wound up dropping the show altogether.
What Could Have Been: The show was originally planned to be filmed in English, in the interest of reaching a wider global audience, but it was quickly decided that this would be inauthentic.

The Berlinerisch dialect dialect features heavily in the series, as expected, primarily from working-class characters. Charlotte (Liv Lisa Fries) code-switches an awful lot between Berlinerisch, which she speaks with her family and peers, and standard German (Hochdeutsch), which she speaks professionally. Katelbach's sing-songy Wienerisch (Viennese) is also quite prominent. Gereon's pharmacist, a fellow Colognian, speaks in a heavy Kölsch dialect. The man who organises the Junkers plane for the Berlin police has a distinct Plattdeutsch (Low German) drawl.
