Trivia / Babar and the Adventures of Badou

Go To

  • Children Voicing Children: Badou and his circle of friends are all voiced by actual kids.
  • Crossdressing Voices: Samantha Reynolds voices Rataxes' grandson Rhudi.
  • International Coproduction: The series was a co-production between Nelvana in Canada, TeamTO in France, LuxAnimation in Luxembourg and the Clifford Ross Company in America.
  • The Original Darrin: After being replaced by Dan Lett, Janet-Laine Green and Philip Williams for Babar: King of the Elephants and the 2000 Teletoon revival, Gordon Pinsent, Dawn Greenhalgh and Jeff Pustil returned as the respective voices of Babar, Celeste and Zephir. Funny enough, Dan Lett voices Badou's father the grown-up Pom, in this series.
  • The Other Darrin:
    • Adrian Truss and Jayne Eastwood replace Allen Stewart-Coates and Corrine Koslo as the voice of Lord Rataxes and his wife for this series.
    • Badou goes through several voice actors over the course of the show, being first voiced by Dallas Jokic, then Drew Adkins and finally William Healy.
    • Jake was voiced first by Noah Lehman and later on by Gage Munroe.
  • Role Reprise: Gordon Pinsent, Dawn Greenhalgh, Chris Wiggins, and Jeff Pustil reprise their respective roles as Babar, Celeste, Cornelius, and Zephir from the 1980s series. For Wiggins and Pinsent, it would be the final time they voiced Cornelius and Babar, as the former died of Alzheimer's disease in 2017, and the latter died from complications of a cerebral hemorrhage in 2023.
  • Unspecified Role Credit: Gordon Pinsent is given a "Featuring" credit for his role as Babar, and the rest of the voice talent are categorized under two separate "Featuring the voices of" and "With the voices of" groups.
