• Acclaimed Flop: Battle B-Daman is fondly remembered for its anime, but toy sales were not what one would hope for the popularity of the series; for a toyline that focused largely on selling accessories for different tabletop games, only the Direct Hit Battle really took off, leaving the rest of its merch mostly forgotten. Crossfire sold very poorly due to a combination of regressions in the toy design (specifically, lack of DHB style one-on-one options), but the anime is widely considered to be exceptional.
