    • One of Thoth's myths in Plutarch's Moralia is his gamble for one-seventieth of Khonshu's moonlight to circumvent a curse placed by Ra tied to the lunar year that prevented Nut from giving birth, creating the 5-upon-the-year days added to the 360-day lunar year to align with the 365-day solar orbit. This gives him a minor relation to the passage of time outside of his known domain of knowledge.
    • Thoth's traps are left wedjat Eyes of Horus, commonly referred to as the Eye of Thoth. While easily confused for the Eye of Ra (which happens to be a symbol related to Sekhmet as well, a myth saying she was born from Ra removing his eye in order to punish the Egyptians for disobeying him near the end of his rule,) the Eye of Ra is equated with Horus' right "solar" eye, while Thoth is attributed to his left "lunar" eye.
