• B-Team Sequel: Devil's Cartel was outsourced to Visceral Games with some support from EA Montreal.
• Franchise Killer: Devil's Cartel's poor critical reception and sales led to future plans for the franchise being aborted.
• Executive Meddling: The development of Devil's Cartel was rushed to meet a deadline, leading to several features being cut or dumbed down, add to that was EA's mandate that their games had to be made with DICE's Frostbite Engine, an engine made for first person shooters with little-to-no support for anything else.
• One-Book Author: Elliot Salem in Army of Two is the only known role of Josh Ryan.
• The Other Darrin: For unknown reasons, the series has been unable to retain the same voice actors for Tyson Rios (Russell Hornsby in the original, Jonathan Adams in The 40th Day, and David Sobolov in The Devil's Cartel) and Elliot Salem (the previously mentioned Josh Ryan in the original, Nolan North in The 40th Day, and Joe Flanigan in The Devil's Cartel).
