• What Could Have Been
  • The final volume's cover ◊ and Kaori's post-series commentary shows what was potentially planned as the original ending of the series. Setsuna and Sara dead, but finally together.
  • Kaori's post-series commentary also mentioned that she originally planned to have Rosiel's body deteriorate and shrink so much that he ended up small enough to settle inside Alexiel's womb, but there wasn't enough time to show that. The end result is still the same, as visual panels show Alexiel's hands on her lower stomach, indicating that Rosiel is in there.
