• Approval of God: Neil had nothing but praise for the 2017 BBC Radio 4 adaptation by Dirk Maggs, calling it Maggs' best adaptation of his work.
• Collector's Edition: The Folio Society have produced a luxury hardback edition, with illustrations by Francis Vallejo and an introduction by Nalo Hopkinson. Yours for £75 or $135.
• Creator Backlash: Neil was extremely unhappy about the 2007 radio version for BBC World Service despite its excellent cast because it condensed the novel into an hour play.
• What Could Have Been: There were talks of a film adaptation, but Gaiman balked at the Executive Meddling which demanded that the main characters be white.
